thanks, that's sweet... I don't live near disneyland...the princess pony thing was a disappointment, but it's all good. I went on an all day pony run yesterday in Ventura and found nothing. -sigh- I wish Hasbro would make clothing in larger sizes. My daughter is outgrowing her stuff....I'd rather she dressed in pony clothes than in some of the hootchie outfits people put their kids in these days... athaliah lol hoochie outfits. I know what you mean though. the clothes are terribly small and the nightwear is small too. we've got to wait till they make some for bigger kids, then we can wait for them to make some for us

Hi everyone! I just thought I would join the Cali chat. In the long lulls of waiting for new ponies to arrive in stores, I try and round out my G1 collection by going to the local flea market. I live in the Bay Area. Does anyone out there get their ponies at places like that? I started recollecting when I was 13 (and I just finished my master's degree, so that should tell you how long I've been at it) and I'm glad I did it then because now it's much harder to find the G1's. And now vendors are charging up the wazoo! So annoying! Oh well, it's all for the ponies. My favorite is Posey. What are some of you favs out there? ;D

hey ashes! welcome to the board, i hope that you'll stop by here once in a while. Like you, i've been collecting G1's for like forever, even after they'd discontinued them, i still picked up the stray ones at garage sales and thrift shops, that was even when i felt like i was over ponies too, i just couldn't leave one behind like that! The Cali chat is actually not very chatty we like to have our chats down in the parlor underneath all the states and countries, come stop by and say hello some time!

thanks for the welcome! I did check out the parlor and stuff. In fact, I didn't even know about it until you mentioned it because I've never scrolled down past California!
But on another note, is anyone around here going to the MLP Fair in Vegas?

i don't have any plans as of yet to go to the fair. I know it's not that far off, but with work and other junk it's hard to get a spare moment (or spare money) to go out of state for the weekend.
Hmm, but are you going ashes? Who else is going?

I sooooo want to go to the Pony Fair! But I don't know if I will be able too. Mostly it is that I don't know if I will have the money... But the biggest problem is I am scared out of my mind... I have never gone somewhere like that alone. I did fly to Utah alone but I was going to see a friend... so all I had to do alone was the plane ride...

I want to go because one of my pics won for the ticket contest (it was listed under Ash) - I did the G3 version of Firefly with the butterfly. But I also want to go because I've never really met any other crazy pony people like myself. I think it would be fun. But in terms of money I don't know if I could fly - maybe drive if someone wanted to carpool; then money for gas could be split. I'm still debating.

Well... seeing as how I live in Alaska, driving would be rather time consuming!

Wow, Alaska? Where do you live in Alaska? I just had a friend move there with her husband, but I think it's an island off the main part. And yes, that would be quite a drive

Actually, I have driven(well, I wasn't doing the driving!)from Alaska to California... and then when my dad was transfered to Alaska we drove from Cali to AK...
I live in Eagle River... it is near Anchorage. Does your friend live in Kodiak?

I lived in Kodiak for a while when I was a kid...

I actually don't remember - I think it had a funkier name than Kodiak - she said it was a small town, then again, that probably doesn't help you much

There are a lot of "small towns" here! Most of them are more like villages then towns...
