Hi Guys. Sorry I haven't been around much... I PROMISE... now that the holidays are over, I will be here more. If not, you can tell Space on me! ;D I stole an idea from Marci & thought it would be nice to have a chat in here, so we could get to know each other better. I mean... I see y'all in here all the time, but I don't know none of yous! SO... lets all introduce ourselves & tell something about us, I will start. [glow=yellow,2,300]I am from Harlingen, Texas... WAY down there at the tip, by South Padre Island & the Mexican Border. I am currently 22, will be 23 on May 28, born in 1981! I have an older sister who is 32 & she has 2 boys & a girl. I have an older brother who is 29 (he lives in Houston currently) & then a younger brother who is 17. My dad owns a gift shop, where I work from about 12:00 to 6:00 at. I am currently not going to school, I kept failing & didn't see the point to continue, I plan to go back someday. I started collecting the G1s since I was little, but I took a break in the early 90s & then restarted again when the G3s came out. I currently have all the G3s cept Crystal Crown (should have her soon). I am very friendly so please don't hesitate to talk with me or ask me a question. I am a mod at the Ponyville Boards, so you can always find me in there. During work, I will sometimes be on at the chatroom. At Ponyville, you can also spot my cousin, Josh... he collects the G1s & G3s also. He is from McAllen. [/glow] NEXT! ;D

Hi TickledSunriser! I see you all the time on the message boards and actually I live fairly close to you, too. I'm sorta new to the board myself but I have been collecting forever! I'm also a new member to the Ponyville message board, too. Now that I have a better computer I can post, chat..you name it. I'm in Corpus Christi, (the OTHER side of Padre Island I'm 24 (pretty much the average G1 age) and I have a little sister who's 19. I did the same thing with school, I just wasn't ready to go. But I'm headed back to A&M this summer. I've always collected MLP and now the 2003 line. My mom teaches fourth grade and I've succeeded in hooking some of the little girls onto MLP!! I'm so proud.... I'm always looking for pony people! So pleased to meet another friendly collector!

Sorry to post one right after the other, Deena (can I call you Deena?) but I do have a question.....Did you get a Dazzle Surprise? I just noticed that all descriptions of her say that she has glitter on her symbol? Mine doesn't have any glitter, does yours?

*trots over to Ponyville quickly to read up on SoSoftSurprise* [glow=red,2,300]Hi Katherine! Please, call me Deena... it is my name! I like to call everyone by their real names... I like to "know" everyone! ;D I love my name... so please feel free to use it, sounds better than Tickled! Ask away the questions. I love to answer them... so don't be afraid to ask. That is what I am here for, anyways. ;D I feel that it is one of my callings, in life. Yes... I got my Dazzle Surprise... yes she has glitter. She should have a clear sticker type looking thing over her symbol... hold it a certain way in the light & you can see if it is there. Anyways... that is to keep the glitter from coming off. ' I got 2 Dazzles. The one that I opened has 4, EXACTLY 4 specs of glitter spread out. Look carefully at yours to see if you can find any. My 2nd Dazzle, however, has I would guess between 15 to 20 specs of glitter spread out. As for my cousin, Josh, the one he opened, has a HUGE clump of glitter in one space, very sparkly. I think what happens is, they place several Dazzle on a table... place something over the symbol, to catch the glitter. Then I think they might sprinkle the glitter lightly over the ponies... some catching a lot of glitter... some hardly none, some in huge chunks. Then they place the sticker thing over it. Not a great method, if you ask me... they should have done each one individually, but the way they did it, saves time. Of course, I am no expert... I am only guessing this is how they did the symbol. I could be WAY off... but I would think it was the way they did it. As if they did it one by one, each one would have the same amount of glitter. [/glow]

HaHa! This is hilarious! I also got two Dazzles and one of them is normal...but I looked very closely at the other one and she has ONE SINGLE speck of glitter stuck to her! -- I'm not sure why I find that so funny..my poor Dazzle got jipped on the glitter

Hi! ;D I'm not from Texas, but... I think that the glitter stuff looks like nail polish with glitter in it. I bet that's what it sort of is. ;D

Kathi ~ Is it alright for me to call you that? Or do you prefer Katherine? Anyways... that is funny. One of mine got jipped too. Some have hardly any... some have lots... strangeness. Baby Elf ~ Welcome to our state! We have no problem with you popping in. Hmm... you really think it could be the glitter nail polish... maybe. But mine never spreads the glitter really thin... but then again, I do put several coats on. ;D

Pleased to meet you BabyElfPrincess. ;D Actually .....if it's not too much trouble ...... :oPlease don't call me Kathi, or Kathy, most people call me Kat. You ever have someone you disliked SO MUCh that the mere mention of the name made you nauseus? Well, that was Kathy -- coudn't stand her! ( Sorry just a paranoia thing ) Thanks for the ideas on the glitter -- I think I like the one without the glitter better anyways. I'm not sure why.

Hey ya'll! Thought I'd introduce myself too! My name is Brigitte. I'm 21 years old and go to TAMUCC for English. I have over a hundred G1s but never considered collecting them when they were discontinued. I was pretty young and just moved on to different toys. G2s scared me because they looked like runway-model-ponies and that gives me a million reasons to think that the ponies must have puked a ton to get their unnatural figure. I was super-duper glad when the G3s came out (and were introduced at Target for only $4!) and I've been mad about them ever since. I just got the whole set of tiny tins. Keeping them all in their boxes. I just removed Rainbow Dash because I MUST have one to take with me everywhere. I'll buy another RD and keep that one mint. K, off to breakfast and work!

Kat ~ Sounds fine to me. I also know of a Kathi... but I don't really hate her. She does have lots of bad traits though. *starts to wonder why sometimes people with the same names, act the same* Kat is cute. It reminds me of the movie Casper... as that is what they called the girl. Kat. ;D Brigitte ~ HI!! It's great to finally know who you are! I see you posting on here all the time. I dunno why, but your screen name reminds me of my brother. His name is Brodrick & they call him Brodie. So your screen name looks similar & reminds me of him! ;D WOW! So you had a lot of G1s then, when you were young? I had about 40... but I have lost a few through the years & I now have about 35... but since I became a collector, my collection is now at about 90. Are all of your originals still in nice shape?

I think Brodie is an awesome name. About all my G1s, I always took really good care of them when I was little, but when I got older mom put them in the attic. They're all still in pretty good shape though. Mom keeps all my old stuff. She's cool sometimes.
Nice to meet ya, btw.

Brigette! Great to finally know your name! I can't really welcome you to the board because we've posted back and forth so many times on the Corpus sightings! Why don't you become a member of the board -- you can get a cute little pony picture under your name! Hmmm, I wonder who FaerieLantern is? Gosh, we almost have enough people to host our own pony meet....that is if TickledSunriser would be willing to drive 3 hours to get here! hmm .. would you?

Brigitte ~ Yes, he likes it. He was always known as Brodrick or Brod, but when he started highschool, a girl at school gave him that nickname & it stuck. SO... now he's always known as Brodie, though I usually don't call him that. I was also wondering why you don't become a member of the board. I wouldn't like always being known as "guest". hehehe ;D
